Following the successful conclusion of its first exhibition phase within the Rome Art Festival, Risonanze continues its journey in Rome with the international exhibition hosted at Galleria d’Arte Sempione from May 21 to May 30, 2026.
The project brings together 54 national and international artists, selected for the quality, coherence, and authenticity of their artistic research, creating an open dialogue between painting, sculpture, and mixed media practices. The exhibition becomes a space of connection and listening, where each artwork interacts with the others, contributing to the construction of a collective and dynamic narrative.
After its presentation at the Rome Art Festival, held from May 12 to May 17, 2026, in the evocative setting of Piazza della Repubblica, Risonanze now finds a more intimate and immersive dimension within the spaces of Galleria d’Arte Sempione, encouraging a deeper and more contemplative experience of the artworks. The transition from the fair context to the gallery space allows for a more focused dialogue between the works and further highlights the plurality of artistic languages featured in the exhibition.
The opening reception will take place on May 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Galleria d’Arte Sempione, conceived as an opportunity for encounter and exchange between artists, curators, and the public.
The title Risonanze (“Resonances”) evokes the ability of art to generate invisible yet profound connections: between artworks, between artists, and between the viewer and the exhibition space. The exhibition unfolds as a vibrant field in which matter, sign, and image become instruments for investigating the present, exploring themes such as identity, memory, transformation, and perception. Each work contributes to a network of references that invites viewers into an active experience based on listening, relationship, and reflection.
An official catalogue, curated and produced by Pav Edizioni, accompanies the project, gathering the artworks and critical contents of the exhibition as a tool for documentation and in-depth exploration of the entire curatorial journey. The critical essays by Mariangela Bognolo, art critic and art historian, provide additional interpretative perspectives on the artistic practices presented and on the overall meaning of the project.
Risonanze thus proposes itself as an experience that transcends the exhibition dimension to become an opportunity for dialogue and exchange, where contemporary art emerges as a living process capable of questioning the present and creating authentic connections among individuals, languages, and visions.
