Earth-Sky

Earth-Sky
Earth-Sky, like hands in the earth, in the matter, which have always marked the imagination of the individual who first draws the world and then himself; reaching up to the sky, in a journey of mental elevation that releases the inner light.

Animal busts, radiant gazes, and vibrant colors conceal and conceal human characteristics that we can identify with. Luminous neon lights, ethereal clouds, and mythological characters speak to the fragmented nature of contemporary life, in its infinite contradictions, a manifesto of the desire to leave a mark. "Terra-Cielo" is like hands in the earth, in matter, which have always marked the imagination of the individual who first designs the world and then himself; Reaching the sky, on a journey of mental elevation that unleashes inner light. In a world where verbal language can be convoluted and precarious, animalistic symbols and figures thus become reflections of the human being: creatures that, crossing the shadow of ambiguity, seek in clarity a more essential, instinctive, and authentic truth.

Simone Garofalo, after studying fashion design and spending several years as a children's fashion designer, felt the need to create something personal and personal through manual and experimental work. Simone Garofalo's research reworks classical tradition, grounding it in a new, contemporary and international language. His works are "luminous boxes" where the aesthetics of the past meet contemporary technology. If once Daedalus and Icarus embodied the challenge of human limits, today these figures appear as archetypes of modern cinema. Her installations are not just objects, but the backdrops for an evolving narrative: LED neon (the soul of the sci-fi metropolis) blends with gold leaf and plexiglass, creating a bridge between classical epic and the silver screen; the "myth" becomes the parable of the modern anti-hero, a reflection on speed and the inevitable passage of time. For every artist, creation is a pressing need. Light is not a simple ornament, but the conductor guiding the viewer. It is a visual symphony that transforms classical opera into an intimate film set, a suspended place where one can pause, watch, and, finally, listen and feel part of this reality.

Vittoria Notarbartolo di Villarosa is a Roman artist born in 1995 whose creative evolution is a fascinating journey between the visual arts and craftsmanship. In an era dominated by digital, Vittoria has chosen to focus her talent on three-dimensionality, exploring the intrinsic beauty of detail and the expressive depth of materials. Her manual approach presents a conscious alternative to the impersonality of contemporary production, restoring a human and authentic dimension to sculpture. During the pandemic, she began exploring unique sculptural forms, specializing in the creation of animal busts: crocodiles, cobras, wolves, eagles, and other creatures. These works, initially modeled in clay and decorated with vibrant colors, are charged with meaning and symbolism, reflecting a profound connection with nature. The artist manages to capture the essence of each animal through the depth of their gazes, expressing her empathy for a natural dimension rich in nonverbal communication. Each sculpture is characterized by a strong color and formal imprint, revealing Vittoria's mastery in uniting art and nature in a visual narrative that invites contemplation and profound connection.
