Progetto Eidos a Civita brings contemporary art to the medieval village of Civita di Bagnoregio, combining exhibitions, performances, installations, readings and videos across the town’s houses, streets, gardens, terraces and historic spaces. The project engages with Civita’s urban fabric and landscape, between the ancient Roman cistern, Etruscan memories, medieval impressions and the landslides that characterize the area. Curator Fabio Sindici, co-curator Adina Drinceanu, geologist Claudio Margottini and the artists have developed a project focused on beauty in a state of balance and on the relationship between art, history, geology and the resilience of the site.

At Casa Greco, a medieval building, the exhibition La linea è mobile brings together works by Sean Gall, Luca Di Luzio and Luciana Pretta Dos Santos. The same space also hosts installations and works by Voir Humain, Federica Ilacqua and Dora Tass, as well as an art library dedicated to critic Pericle Guaglianone.

Another route, Noumeni, extends from Casa Greco towards a Roman cistern beneath Piazza San Donato and continues through the surrounding streets and gardens, with works and installations by Silvia Iorio, Valentina Sciarra, Antonella Zazzera, Dora Tass, Gulia Lusikova and Simona Cuomo Sabelli. The Giardino del Poeta presents the performance Sotto la pelle animali strani by Alice De Crais and Giorgia Grassi.

The project also includes debates and public conversations with musicians, urban planners, scientists, landscape experts and poets, bringing the humanities and sciences, anthropology, new technologies, and major and minor arts into dialogue.
