CHIACCHIERICCIO

by Stefania Fabrizi

opening Friday, February 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

at TRAleVOLTE APS

The TRAleVOLTE social promotion association is pleased to invite you on Friday, February 13, at 6:00 p.m. to Stefania Fabrizi's solo exhibition entitled “Chiacchiericcio,” curated by Carmine Sorrentino, which will take place at the association's premises in Rome.

There are voices that seek no answer, words that bounce like glass balls in a windowless room. It is chatter: the background noise of the contemporary soul, a disorderly chorus that demands attention without ever offering to listen. On the first veil, faces seek each other, brush against each other, talk over each other. Mouths suspended in the eternal gesture of speaking, gazes that never truly meet. It is a bodiless crowd, a market of consumed thoughts, the mind multiplying until it loses itself. Like in bars, like on the street, like inside us when silence is frightening.Pope Francis called it a plague: chatter infects, digs, distracts, and takes away the depth of real things. On the second veil, the world is silent. A newborn floats in the sea as if in a primordial womb. Around it, fish—creatures of silence—glide in a language that does not hurt, does not interrupt, does not demand. Here, noise dissolves. The word has not yet been born, and for this very reason, life is whole. What remains is the slow time of creation. What remains is breath: a veil that enters, one that exits.

In the middle, a passage opens up. On one side, the world that speaks without knowing; on the other, the sea that is silent and generates. Crossing it means choosing whether to remain an echo or return to being a voice. In the middle lies our daily choice: to remain prisoners of the noise or to cross the silence to be reborn and listen to who we really are.

Stefania Fabrizi was born in Rome, where she lives and works.

In 2014, she created the mural I Guerrieri della Luce (The Warriors of Light) at the MAAM in Rome. She has created murals and workshops in Italy and abroad. She has participated in solo, group, and public exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
