OTTO, like the eight (otto in Italian) years remaining until the year 2000: this was director Giuseppe Lufrano’s idea when he opened the original gallery in 1992, at 50 Via D’Azeglio in the heart of Bologna, already home to an historic gallery at the time.
Since 1992, the OTTO Gallery has been a point of reference for the best names in contemporary art, for critics and art lovers alike.
Since the year it opened in its first location, as well as after moving to its new location in Palazzo Montalto, at 55 Via D’Azeglio, in 2002, the gallery has organised countless exhibits, with the aim of recognising and promoting art and some of its most important figures, at both the national and international level.
All of OTTO Gallery’s exhibits are produced and organised by the staff of the gallery, with works conceived and created by the artists specifically for the gallery space. The artists are asked to work on unique and exclusive projects that are always new and often of “museum” quality.
The OTTO Gallery works with both private and institutional collectors from museums and foundations.
