In a chapel of the Duomo, in the historic centre of Naples, lies a treasure, the Treasure of San Gennaro, tangible evidence of the deep and unbreakable bond between the Neapolitan people and their patron saint: lanuario, heir to Virgil the Magician.
Since its foundation in 1523, the treasure has been continuously enriched with donations of works by great artists, sculptures and precious jewels from sovereigns and nobles, as well as jewellery donated by the people.
This history, spanning more than five centuries, has been pieced together and remembered by ilfilodipartenope through the words of Valerio Magrelli, Chiara Rostagno and a leporello work by Vincenzo Rusciano.
