Il titolo della mostra “Ars Opificii” combina dei termini latini "Ars" (arte, tecnica, mestiere o la competenza professionale in un determinato campo) e "Opificii" (dell'artefice/artigiano): genitivo singolare di opifex (composto da opus, ovvero "opera/lavoro", e il tema di facere, cioè "fare"). Indica colui che fa un'opera, l'artigiano, il fabbricante. In questo contesto espositivo vengono a dialogare le opere pittoriche dei cinque artisti con la traslazione, l’applicazione del proprio ‘stile’ o ‘poetica’ che dir si voglia, in oggetti prodotti dagli stessi. Quindi si spazia dall’oggetto d’uso come bottiglie, piatti, svuotatasche, a decorazione su manufatti preesistenti, l'upcycling artistico che è un processo creativo che trasforma rifiuti, scarti e oggetti dimenticati in opere d'arte uniche oppure una customizzazione di oggetti industriali. Una proposta, in questa mostra, per sperimentare come la ricerca dell’artista possa spaziare anche nell’oggetto d’uso e quindi nella quotidianità sia in maniera assolutamente pratica che come spunto virtuale ed evocativo.
