Tudo vale a pena quando a alma nao è pequena.
The best way to travel is to “feel” said Ferdinando Pesso and Lisbon is the perfect city to feel all the vibrations it can transmit. It is a sweetly nostalgic place where you can breathe a mixture of mystery, attraction, charm and where the sacred and the profane meet without contradiction. A combination that I found in other areas of Portugal and that I unwittingly made my own in photography. The places I visited thus present themselves as a stage where faith coexists with daily life, creating a unique atmosphere suspended between history and contrasts. A dualism that dialogues between the search for a profound and authentic experience (sacred) and everyday reality, social conventions (profane). Awareness of the fragmentation and complexity of the contemporary world.
“The traveler is about to end his tour of Lisbon. He saw a lot, he saw almost nothing. He wanted to see well, perhaps he saw badly, it is the constant risk of any trip”.
Lisbon, Nazaré and Fatima from my eyes.
