The group exhibition "EVOLUZIONI – tra Materia e Luce" (Evolutions – Between Matter and Light) opens on Monday, October 26, 2026, at the "Il Laboratorio" artgallery in Rome.
Organized and curated by Spazio 40 Art, the event showcases a collection of brand-new works in ceramic and glass—representing the latest creations by artists Donatella Antonangeli, Paola Capocci, Antonella Cascio, Francesca De Luca, Maria Serena Polidori, and Giusy Saladino.
All the artists are members of the ARTESANIA Association, which has served as a steady point of reference in Rome’s diverse ceramics scene for a decade.
Sharing, experimentation, and artistic inquiry form the fil rouge running through their work. Although they come from varied backgrounds, their shared passion for shaping diverse materials—such as ceramic and glass—has enabled them to develop a collaborative artistic practice. This has resulted in a collection of exquisitely refined objects, where clay and glass become living languages to be shaped, listened to, and transformed.
Visitors can admire works that are understated in form yet vibrant in color, featuring soft modeling and balanced color palettes—all testifying to a perfect mastery of crafting and firing techniques.
"We believe in the value of slow time," they state, "of hands creating and ideas taking shape together. For us, art is also about this: meeting, cross-pollinating ideas, and growing through what each person brings to the group."
The opening is scheduled for Monday, October 26, at 6:00 PM. The exhibition will remain open to the public until Sunday, November 1. ----------------------
