Un Mare di Colori: Painting and Mosaic Meet at the Rossellini Hall in Ladispoli
From October 3 to 11, the group exhibition will bring together twelve artists, with free creative workshops dedicated to artistic mosaic, botanical bas-relief and experimental painting
Ladispoli has a deep relationship with art, closely connected to the history and nature of its territory. It is within this context that “Un Mare di Colori” (“A Sea of Colours”) takes place, a group exhibition of painting and mosaic scheduled from October 3 to 11, 2026, at the Sala Rossellini, Via Duca degli Abruzzi 197.
The initiative, held under the patronage of the Municipality of Ladispoli and the Department of Culture, is the third exhibition event of the year under the artistic direction of Elena Toma, and continues a path dedicated to promoting contemporary art and fostering dialogue between artists, the local area and the public.
The exhibition will feature twelve artists, each with different artistic paths and forms of expression: Soyla Bressan, Gabriella Buzzanca, Rosario Josefina Caceres, Alessandra Conti, Viola D’Orazio, Giun, Carmela Greco, Tiziano Leo, Lisa Paolucci, Zahira Rodriguez Amaya, Alessandro Saviantoni and Adriana Zucca.
The decision to bring painting and mosaic together allows two different artistic languages to be compared, both sharing the ability to create images through colour, material, light and composition. In mosaic, the material dimension takes on particular importance through fragments, surfaces, tesserae and reflections. Colour thus becomes the common thread linking twelve individual artistic paths within the same exhibition space.
Another distinctive element of the exhibition will be its relationship with the public. Throughout the eleven days of the exhibition, free creative workshops in artistic mosaic, botanical bas-relief and experimental painting will be offered, giving visitors the opportunity not only to observe, but also to engage directly with the creative process.
The opening will take place on Saturday, October 3 at 11:00 a.m., with the vernissage and traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony. Margherita Frappa, Councillor for Culture and Public Education of the Municipality of Ladispoli, Filippo Conte, Curator and Delegate for exhibitions and cultural events of the Municipality of Ladispoli, the artistic direction and the exhibiting artists will be present.
The exhibition will be free of charge and open from October 3 to 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The workshops will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with limited places and advance booking required.
The spirit of the initiative is expressed in the words of artistic director Elena Toma, who invites the public to visit the exhibition:
“Art, regardless of the form in which it is expressed, comes from the artist’s inner and intimate world and becomes a way of giving shape to their emotions. Creativity, on the other hand, represents ‘the light of thought’ for me, and I hope that on the occasion of this exhibition, our ‘light’ and our emotions will reach those who have the pleasure of visiting it.”
“Un Mare di Colori” therefore aims to offer the public not only an encounter with twelve different artistic paths, but also the opportunity to approach artistic practice and experimentation, in an experience that brings artworks, artists, the local territory and visitors into dialogue.
