From April 14 to 24, 2026, the Sala della Pace of the Metropolitan City of Rome will host
a solo exhibition by Croatian artist Sunčica Perišin.
The exhibition presents a selection of works from the L’Oracolo cycle, an artistic project
in which the artist explores the themes of inner strength, intuition, and female transformation. In Sunčica Perišin's paintings, the figure of the woman does not appear as a passive muse, but as an active and prophetic presence, capable of generating knowledge and change.
The protagonists of her works, depicted in motion and often immersed in environments suspended between vision and reality, evoke archetypal figures from ancient mythology—such as Artemis, Demeter, Persephone, and Hecate—reinterpreted as contemporary states of consciousness. The Oracle invites the viewer to actively participate in the experience of the work: the paintings do not offer definitive answers, but open up interpretative possibilities, stimulating a dialogue between image, intuition, and symbolic memory. From this perspective, the oracle is neither a place nor a specific figure, but a process of research and awareness, in which the viewer becomes an integral part of the narrative. A multidisciplinary artist born in Split in 1983, Sunčica Perišin studied in the United Kingdom, attending Central Saint Martins in London. Her practice spans painting, performance and installation, intertwining autobiographical dimensions, narrative, and audience participation. In parallel to her artistic practice, the artist is committed to developing educational and community projects dedicated to contemporary art.
The exhibition will be open until April 24, 2026.
