On Wednesday, May 20th, at 6:00 PM, a large-scale exhibition entitled "Mediterranean Echoes" will open in the exhibition spaces of the Galleria Angelica at Via di Sant'Agostino 11 in Rome. It is dedicated to the work of Maestro Lino Tardia, who passed away on November 21st, 2021.

The exhibition, curated by Francesco Ciaffi and organized by the Edarcom Europa gallery in collaboration with the artist's family, is intended as a broad, though not complete, tribute to the long and adventurous career of the renowned Sicilian painter, born in the late 1930s.

He arrived in Rome at a very young age to study at the Academy, and from the 1960s onwards was a protagonist in the capital's cultural and social life, while also participating in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. The exhibition is accompanied by two important catalogs, one published on the occasion of the major retrospective held at Palazzo Venezia in 2009, curated by Claudio Strinati and Andrea Romoli Barberini, and the other published by Silvana Editoriale in the aftermath of the artist's death, with essays by Aldo Gerbino and Franco Campegiani.

The exhibition will be open to the public with free admission until May 29th.
