The project stems from an intuitive sense of human affinity, a possible connection that takes shape through clothing, objects, light, and gestures. During the photographic session, the reference to another person's life becomes an opportunity to explore aspects of oneself.
The photographs focus on the subtle shifts that occur during the act of interpretation: a wandering gaze, a hand raised to the face, a posture that gradually relaxes. Through these changes, the boundary between the evoked figure and the experience of the person portraying them becomes blurred. Viewers encounter faces in which the reference to the character and the presence of the interpreter overlap, making it difficult to discern where an emotion originates. The sequence invites viewers to linger on the moment when a deliberate pose gives way to a personal gesture, transforming the portrait into a space of encounter.
The video extends some of the gestures captured in the photographs over time, developing the movement already suggested by each photographed gesture and offering a possible sense of continuity.
