CAMPOLIETO (CB) – The village of Campolieto is preparing to host the third edition of "Art and Flavors in the Vicoli," an event scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 6:00 PM to midnight, in the picturesque setting of Via Castello, which leads to the Palazzo Ducale De Capua. The initiative, organized by the Pro Loco of Campolieto with the patronage of the Municipality of Campolieto, this year pays a heartfelt tribute to the memory of Luigi di Tommaso.
At a time when the small towns of Molise's hinterland are facing the complex challenges of depopulation and geographical isolation, events like "Art and Flavors in the Vicoli" take on a value that goes far beyond simple entertainment. Bringing contemporary art, singer-songwriter music, and culinary excellence to the ancient stones of historic centers means reviving the hearts of our communities, stimulating local tourism, and demonstrating that culture is the primary tool for redemption and enhancement of the region.
Campolieto: An Ancient History of Stone and Community
Perched on a hill over 700 meters above sea level in central Molise, Campolieto boasts medieval origins dating back to the Norman era, linked to rural life and the local fortifications surrounding the Feudal Palace. Strolling along Via Castello, near the Baronial Palace, and through the town's narrow streets allows you to immerse yourself in an atmosphere of times gone by, where historic architecture now serves as an open-air art gallery.
The program includes exhibitions by: Artists from Lazio and Molise, Saxophone, and Gastronomy
The evening's program will feature a rich Contemporary Art Exhibition, enhanced by the participation of the Campolieto CRP Artistic Laboratory and an important cultural exchange between artists from Molise and Lazio:
EXHIBITING FOR LAZIO: Sandra Fiordelmondo, Simona Gloriani, Michele Prisciandaro, Gabriella Tirincanti.
EXHIBITING FOR MOLISE: Alain de Marco, Marta de Marco, Antonelli Michele, Nicola Romano, Silvana di Paola.
The evening will be enhanced by the warm and elegant notes of saxophonist Fabio di Bartolomeo, who will accompany visitors along the exhibition route, while food and wine stands will allow you to rediscover the flavors and traditional recipes of local cuisine.
