The 12th Edition of "Rome in 100 centimetriquadri", an art exhibition featuring small 10x10 cm (4x4") paintings, organized and curated by Spazio 40 Art, opens on Tuesday, August 18th at the Gallery Il Laboratorio in Trastevere.

 

The two-week event will be held in the heart of Trastevere, the neighborhood that has hosted every edition since 2015.

The exhibition will be open from Tuesday, August 18th to Sunday, August 30th, at the Gallery IL LABORATORIO at Via del Moro 49.

This 12th Edition focuses on the relationship between Rome and water (#AQUAE), an essential element for life, which has symbiotically marked the growth of the empire, its brief decline, and finally its rebirth.

#AQUAE, therefore, while allowing artists a broad interpretative spectrum, simultaneously defines the evocative theme of the exhibition. They were invited to represent in their small works the stories, emotions, impressions, and characters that Rome, the Tiber River, the aqueducts, the monumental fountains, the square fountains and the neighborhood fountains, the Nasoni, ... the puddles ..., suggested.

 

The results, surprising as usual, will be exhibited (four works by each artist) starting August 18th.

Thirty-seven artists have been selected for this 12th Edition, including painters, digital artists, and photographers: Ar_kk, Daniela Bellofiore, Nora Bosman, Dario Calì, Lisa Calò, Diana Campanelli, Alyssa Canepa, Silvana D'Angelo, Rita Denaro, Maria Di Coste, Renata Di Palma, Edyta Dzierz (Poland), Martin Esposito, Beatrice Fernandez, Claudio Fronza, Loredana Giannotti, Carlo Maria Giudici, Emanuela Grassi, Sabrina Guerrini, Giovanni Ingrassia, Mara Lautizi, Tina Loiodice, Lara Lotti, David Ovidi, Isabella Payella, Mines Perri (Argentina), Giampiero Pierini, Lilli Pitti, Francesco Pogliaghi, Vittorio Queirolo (Chile), Laura Saporito, Cristina Sodano, Carola Strmelj (Chile), Daniela Tamburini, Massimo Tempesta, Aurea Vattuone, Za Tox (Venezuela).

After the inauguration on August 18th, the exhibition will be open daily until Sunday, August 30th.
