E-zine was a historic web publication, one of the first online magazines to receive authorization from a court as early as 1999, thus defining the standard of e-zines in Italy, as the Order of Journalists has classified ever since.
Our web magazine was the first to adopt the philosophy of UGC (user-generated content) long before Facebook and YouTube, and for this reason we believe that users’ news should be published without filters or censorship. To date, our Events section has been entirely generated by our registered users; unfortunately, three years ago, due to a hacker attack, we were forced to reset our archives. Otherwise, we would now have an up-to-date historical record of Italian cultural activity, especially in the field of art.
But times are changing, and information must become more streamlined and dynamic. Therefore, we have decided to shed our old skin and restructure the site entirely around contributions from registered users, without the constraints of cultural censorship. Starting January 15, E-zine will change its identity, becoming a fully UGC-based tool, also adopting English as its language in order to encourage expansion toward new expressive possibilities and integrating all social media interaction tools.
The information and images published in the Events sections, unless otherwise stated, have not been uploaded by E-Zine but by registered users. Therefore, E-Zine is not responsible for the quality, origin, or accuracy of the texts or images, nor for any direct or indirect consequences that may arise from any discrepancy between such data and reality.
